Absolute In-City Separation & Jurisdiction
- Roleplay Exclusivity: Every wager, debt, prize, agreement, contract, and consequence created through the DDRP Bet Board exists exclusively within the city and the roleplay environment.
- Zero Real-World Value: Nothing generated on this platform creates a real-world debt, payment obligation, legal contract, or entitlement.
- Strict Prohibition of External Settlement: No participant may demand, solicit, or offer real-world money, cryptocurrency, gift cards, external services, or any item or consideration outside the city to settle an in-city wager or debt.
In-City Contractual Recognition & Law B5 Compliance
Pursuant to Law B5 (Contracts) of the city jurisdiction:
- Legally Binding Contract with DDRP: By registering, checking the agreement box, or participating in the DDRP Bet Board, you are entering into a legally binding in-city contract with DDRP as recognised under Law B5.
- (1) Contractual Obligation: A person who is a party to an in-city contract or wager agreement must fulfil their contractual obligations. Under Law B5(1), these binding agreements may be formed:
- (a) In writing (via the Bet Board platform logs and signed agreement);
- (b) Verbally (witnessed or acknowledged in-city);
- (c) Through actions carried out by parties (placing and accepting wagers).
- (2) Hierarchy of Law: Unless explicitly waived by the authorised city framework, no private contract or board agreement overrides state law pursuant to Law B5(2).
Citizen Participation Terms & Registration
- Mandatory Registration: Citizens must register their correct in-city name, in-city ID number and Discord name.
- Access Control: Access to participating boards may require an application and formal approval from DDRP management.
- Agreement Acceptance: Citizens must actively accept this participation agreement before being permitted to place or accept any wager.
- Wager Confirmation Statement: Citizens must confirm their agreement explicitly every single time they place or accept a wager.
- Binding Lock: Once a second citizen accepts a wager, both parties are permanently locked into the binding in-city agreement unless DDRP management voids the wager under section 4.
- Settlement & Ratings: Citizens are expected to honour valid in-city settlements. Failure to settle will negatively impact a citizen's reliability rating and may result in restricted or permanently revoked board access. For Kings Pawn boards only, and only where that condition is disclosed before entry, all items put up may also be forfeited to Kings Pawn following confirmed non-settlement. This forfeiture does not automatically apply to other boards.
Platform Limitations, Disagreements & Liabilities
- Platform Role: DDRP provides the digital platform and official ledger records. It does not physically hold property, guarantee that another citizen will settle, process payments, or create any real-world debt.
- Dispute Resolution: DDRP management will act reasonably when reviewing disputed results, incorrect entries, cheating, or misconduct.
- Administrative Voids: Due to unforeseen administrative mistakes, interrupted events, or unclear outcomes, DDRP reserves the right to void affected wagers to preserve platform integrity.
- Management Powers: DDRP maintains the absolute right to investigate issues, suspend accounts, revoke access, void wagers, or close boards entirely when necessary.
- Records & Privacy: DDRP may retain in-city identity details, Discord names, access decisions, terms acceptances, wagers, loot entries, results, reliability reports, and moderation records to operate and protect the service. Citizens must not place sensitive real-world information in free-text fields.
Prohibited Conduct & Platform Illegalities
Under platform and in-city rules, it is strictly prohibited to:
- Bribe or attempt to bribe DDRP staff, board managers, fighters, event officials, or other participants.
- Manipulate an event outcome or unlawfully leak or provide private result information prior to official declaration.
- Create false identities, impersonate others, or use another citizen's account.
- Exploit software faults in the website or knowingly benefit from a visibly incorrect result.
- Pressure, threaten, intimidate, or coerce someone into placing, accepting, or paying a wager.
- Use any external medium or leverage outside the game to influence an in-city wager, outcome, or decision.
Voluntary Participation, Welfare, Cooling-Off & Self-Exclusion
- Voluntary Principle: Participation must always be entirely voluntary.
- Cooling-Off & Self-Exclusion: Citizens may request a designated cooling-off period or place themselves on the official self-exclusion list (blacklist).
- Exclusion Protections: While a citizen is self-excluded, no individual or manager may encourage them to wager, place wagers on their behalf, or help them bypass the restriction.
- Mandatory Management Intervention: DDRP management reserves the right to impose a temporary restriction or suspension when there are reasonable concerns regarding coercion, harassment, predatory behaviour, or a citizen losing control of their gameplay.
Loot-Pot Participation Terms
For all organised loot pots, the following operational rules apply:
- Item Recording: An authorised manager must accurately log and record each participating citizen's contributed items.
- Valuation Standard: Item values are calculated strictly using the approved in-city stock-price list.
- Winning Share: A citizen's winning percentage chance is calculated directly from the recorded value of their individual contribution relative to the total pot value.
- Mandatory Review: Citizens must review and accept their recorded contribution details before the official draw takes place.
- Pot Lock: Once a loot pot is officially locked by management, entries, substitutions, or alterations cannot be secretly changed.
- Finality: The result generated by the approved draw system is final unless definitive evidence of a system error, exploit, or manipulation is established.
Board Manager Code of Conduct
All board managers must strictly adhere to the following code of conduct:
- Honesty & Integrity: Act with total honesty and fairness in all administrative duties.
- Accurate Record-Keeping: Maintain meticulous, truthful records of all wagers, scores, and pot contributions.
- Conflict of Interest Declaration: Immediately declare any personal conflicts of interest regarding a match, fighter, or pot they are associated with.
- Confidentiality: Protect private participant information and sensitive data.
- Separation of Duties: Strictly avoid participating in or wagering on activities, events, or boards that they directly manage or control.
Disputes, Appeals, Suspensions & Board Closures
- Appeals Workflow: Any dispute regarding a wager or game result must be submitted in writing to DDRP management within the designated review window (24 hours). Management decisions following an investigation are final.
- Suspension & Closure Powers: DDRP management retains full discretionary authority to suspend user privileges, ban accounts, void compromised wagers, or close entire boards to maintain a fair, healthy roleplay ecosystem.
